Hutch's Kung Fu Dilemma - Reflective Writing
Reflective Writing #2
Playing with negative outcomes, even the far-fetched and absurd ones, can help us apply new thinking to the real world because we become more aware. When I played the scenarios in Digital Compass and dealt with the situations they were facing I purposely chose all of the wrong choices first because I was curious of the negative outcomes. I wanted to know what situations would arise due to my foolish actions. Now that I've seen what could happen I am much more alert of what I post on social media, for example i'm definitely not going tell all of my friends that i'm an amazing dancer because that's not true at all. People post things that aren't true all the time to impress people and for many other purposes. Maybe if those people saw what happened to Hutch they wouldn't have done that because obviously they wouldn't want that to happen to them in real life. This is how playing with negative outcomes can help us apply new thinking to the real world.
